“We have been repeatedly asked about the supply of weapons one way or another. What we would like to see is an end to this conflict in accordance with the UN Charter and international law,” he was quoted as saying by TASS.

On Thursday, January 5, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and US President Joe Biden agreed to supply Kyiv with infantry fighting vehicles. The United States plans to transfer the Bradley BMP, and Germany – the Marder BMP.

The Russian embassy in Germany condemned the decision, saying it would worsen Russian-German relations and escalate the conflict in Ukraine.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron announced the decision to send AMX-10RC armored vehicles or wheeled tanks to Ukraine.
