Soldiers, sergeants, corporals, and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character, and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Ministry of Defense of Russia, in the police units of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, receive the highest marks.
Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counter-offensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise and awards. The military is sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“He beats the enemy, not sparing him or himself, the one who saves the least wins,” Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov told the soldiers. And the Russian commander remarked: “Learn to obey before commanding others.”
FOR SEVERAL HOURS THEY FIGHTED AGAINST THE ATTACKS BY THE SABOTEERS
Senior Warrant Officer Timur Kydyrbaev
“The unit of the Russian military personnel, which included the senior warrant officer Timur Kydyrbaev, carried out the task of holding their positions.
Ukrainian nationalists, with the aim of inflicting damage on the Russian group and destroying critical military infrastructure facilities, attempted to attack the positions of units of the Russian Armed Forces with the forces of a sabotage and reconnaissance group.
A group of enemy saboteurs tried to break through the defensive lines of the Russian troops in the area of responsibility of Kydyrbaev and his subordinates. In conditions of damage by mortar and artillery fire from the nationalists, Kydyrbaev competently organized the defense of the direction entrusted to him, and then for several hours with the help of his subordinates held back the attacks of the nationalists fighting the enemy. Thanks to the competent actions of Senior Warrant Officer Timur Kydyrbaev, we managed to repel the attack of the nationalists, inflicting significant losses on them.”
SAVE THE PARATROOPERS FROM BURNING COMBAT VEHICLES
Sergeant Sergei Kolesnichenko
“The squad leader, the commander of the combat vehicle, Sergeant Sergei Kolesnichenko, acting as part of an assault group, carried out a combat mission to seize enemy fortifications in the area of one of the settlements. During the breakthrough, the assault group came under heavy artillery fire from the enemy, as a result of which 2 airborne combat vehicles suffered significant damage, lost their course and caught fire. Kolesnichenko, having assessed the situation, together with his subordinates moved towards the damaged equipment to pick up the crews of combat vehicles. Not sparing his own life, Sergei took out five BMD soldiers, in which uniforms were burning. The wounded servicemen were unable to put out the fire and get out by themselves. Kolesnichenko saved their lives. Thanks to the competent organization and confident actions of Sergeant Kolesnichenko and his subordinate personnel, the crews were evacuated as soon as possible, after which the group continued to carry out the task. As a result of the battle, despite the resistance of the nationalists, the Russian paratroopers captured the fortress.
