Proposals for the gasification of Tynda were prepared as part of the development of the master plan for the city. Not far from it passes the gas pipeline “Power of Siberia”.
According to the deputy chairman of the Amur government, Pavel Puzanov, in order for the gasification of the capital of BAM to take place, it will be necessary to build a gas pipeline branch, a gas distribution station and an inter-settlement gas pipeline. It will also be necessary to build new gas boilers. The cost of all these objects is more than three billion rubles.
“The current program for the development of gas supply and gasification of the Amur region, which is calculated until 2025, does not provide for such facilities. In this regard, we are actively working on adjusting this program,” said Pavel Puzanov, Vice President. of the Government of the Amur Region.
Today, Tynda’s main source of heat supply is the central boiler house. It runs on coal and fuel oil and heats most of the city. At the same time, some of its equipment is already obsolete.
According to the governor of the Amur region, Vasily Orlov, the gasification of Tynda will allow to reduce the tariff for thermal energy by 17 percent, creating conditions for attracting investment, creating new companies and jobs.
“With the transition in Tynda to a new type of fuel – from coal and fuel oil to natural gas, the region’s budget savings will amount to about 650 million rubles a year. The released funds will go towards social and economic development of the city, its improvement,” said the head of the Amur region.
Another positive effect of switching to gas is the reduction of harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
