The box office of the film “Cheburashka” by Dmitry Dyachenko exceeded 3 billion rubles in Russia. The film is at the box office for nine days; its premiere took place on January 1, 2023. The exact figure of the total fees as of January 9 is 3,008,152,083 rubles. On the first day, Cheburashka earned more than 225 million rubles, setting a new collection record on January 1. It also became the second highest one-day box office result in the history of Russian cinema.
“Cheburashka” tells about the new adventures of the hero: from a distant orange country, he finds himself in a small seaside town, where he meets “an unsociable old gardener, a strange elegant aunt and her capricious granddaughter.”
The main roles are Sergei Garmash (he played the gardener Gennady), Elena Yakovleva, Polina Maksimova, Fyodor Dobronravov, Sergei Lavygin and others. Cheburashka was played by actress Olga Kuzmina.
