Recently, the number of tigers in the Amur region increased from one to six, but this is not the main thing, according to Aramilev.
– We managed to fix a female with a tiger cub, so now the region can rightly be called the habitat of a rare predator: the region is recognized as such only if animals breed in it. Now we are waiting for the strengthening of this group, 20-25 tigers can live in this area, – said the general director of the Amur Tiger Center.
Sergei Aramilev believes that the settlement of predators on the left bank of the Amur in the region will begin gradually. Despite the rather harsh local climate, some “extreme” tigers are also found in this inhospitable territory.
