In total, as explained by the Social Fund, 670,000 applications for the new payment have already been submitted. They can be presented from December 28 on the Gosuslug portal. And on January 4, the parents’ appeals were accepted by the fund’s customer services, which worked that day according to a special schedule.
“The processing of the applications presented by the branches of the Social Fund began on January 3 and for the moment they have already approved the payment of 80,000 minors under 17 years of age. Taking into account the current conditions for granting a single allowance, families will receive the first payments within the next week,” the fund said.
They explained that the funds will go to the account specified during registration. Payments will also be received by 1.5 thousand pregnant women, on whose applications a positive decision was made.
In addition, in the first days of January, payments were approved for 33,000 first-born children under 3 years of age who appeared in families before the end of last year. Now this payment is included in a single allowance and is issued according to the new rules.
Remember that a single allowance is allocated to families with incomes below the subsistence minimum for each child under the age of 17 through a comprehensive needs assessment. This approach to assigning payments is already being used when assigning benefits for children ages 3-8 and 8-17.
