Anthony Vaccarello’s cruise collection takes us to the spring-summer 2023 runway: the same palette with soft shades of brown, navy blue, mud green and burgundy, the same silhouettes. There are fitted maxi skirts and column dresses, some in sheer knit, straight flared pants to the knee, one-shoulder or cut-out tops. Saint Laurent’s draped cocktail dresses of the 1980s were transformed by Vaccarello into ultraminis and jumpsuits. Slingbacks or shiny heeled sandals go with all looks. This sensuality is slightly dampened by voluminous velvet trench coats, pea coats and dressing gowns.
