For the third day, fans have been worried about the health of their beloved director: since January 5, Nikita Mikhalkov has been in the hospital in a serious condition. Only doctors know for sure the artist’s diagnosis, but there is no agreement in the press: they wrote about the flu and covid; the most recent information is bilateral polysegmental pneumonia, against which an intoxication syndrome developed.
The day before, the condition of the famous patient worsened – he had to be transferred to intensive care. This news was confirmed by actress Yana Poplavskaya.
“Nikita Sergeevich is in intensive care, his condition is still serious,” the artist wrote on her Telegram channel, personally addressing Mikhalkov. – Now is not the time to leave! I love, appreciate and respect, I only wish for one thing: to recover!
Even earlier, a friend of the director, actor and artist Alexander Adabashyan, in an interview with spb.kp.ru, admitted that there was no encouraging news yet.
– There is nothing to like or annoy. Nikita is in the hospital now. There is no definitive diagnosis. Something closer to a cold or flu. The temperature is slightly elevated. She is under constant medical supervision. No one can enter because she has entered the quarantine. It is better not to pull it now. It’s easier for him to go to bed without this general attention,” Adabashyan shared.
Meanwhile, according to the sources, Mikhalkov, 77, is conscious and breathing with an oxygen mask.
