In St. Petersburg, the shooting of the new part of “Major Grom” began, which will be released with the subtitle “Game”. The film will be a sequel to Major Grom: The Plague Doctor. Bubble Studios and Plus Studio are in charge of production. TASS writes about it.
Tikhon Zhiznevsky and Alexander Seteykin returned to the roles. The first day of filming took place on the territory of the closed detention center “Crosses”, inside the interiors of which the actors staged a large-scale action scene: their heroes were in the center of a prison riot. This and other fight scenes in the film are staged by the Kun-Do stage fighting school under the direction of Robert Kuhn.
The events of the new part will take place a year after the first. According to the plot, unexpected popularity falls on the main character Igor Grom: he is recognized on the streets, considered a hero, a comic about him is about to be published. But fame will not be the only test the hero will face: the main antagonist of the film will be the villain, nicknamed the Ghost.
Oleg Trofim, who worked on previous films The Plague Doctor and Thunder: A Difficult Childhood, returned to the director’s chair. In the sequel, viewers will again see Alexei Maklakov and Lyubov Aksenova.
The scriptwriters were Nikolai Shishkin, Ekaterina Krasner and Artem Gabrelyanov. The latter also produces with Mikhail Kitaev and Olga Filipuk. Filming is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2023.
