A trailer for Ruby’s Baby has been posted on the Magnolia Pictures & Magnet Releasing YouTube channel. The psychological thriller stars Noemi Merlan (Portrait of a Girl on Fire) and Kit Harington (Game of Thrones).
The actors played spouses anxiously preparing for the birth of their first child. When a child is born, a young mother begins to feel that something is not going as it should. However, those around her convince her that everything is in order.
In the trailer, Jo (that’s the name of the main character) appears completely exhausted. Her daughter doesn’t sleep well and she cries all the time, driving her mother crazy. The girl’s condition is getting worse over time. She doesn’t understand why the neighbors easily get by with motherhood and give the child to her grandmother’s care.
The film, written and directed by Bass Wahl, will hit theaters on February 3. You can see, in addition to Merlan and Harington, Meredith Hagner, Reed Birney, Jane Atkinson, Lauren Beveridge, Camila Cano-Flavia.
