As explained in the General Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Perm Territory, the investigation established that the woman had a bank card issued in the name of her late husband in use to receive pensions and social benefits. The attacker knew that the pension fund had no information about the death of her husband and she continued accumulating pensions and social benefits to the bank account to which the card was linked.
The woman paid for purchases with a card, withdrew and transferred money to other people. In just four years, the defendant in the criminal case stole more than 800 thousand rubles. Currently, the criminal case has been sent to the courts for consideration on the merits.
