China is lifting several anti-COVID restrictions in place since 2020. These include mandatory centralized quarantine and PCR testing upon arrival from abroad. RIA Novosti writes about this.

As of January 8, 2023, travelers to China will be required to take a PCR test for COVID-19 48 hours before their flight to China. They will be required to report their result when completing a health declaration. People who test negative are not required to apply for a “health code” at Chinese diplomatic missions.

Those who test positive are advised to postpone travel until they recover. Upon arrival in China, you no longer need to undergo centralized isolation and various PCR tests.

Previously, China simplified the issuance of visitor, business and study visas. This is due to the planned relaxation of quarantine restrictions. We talk about it in more detail here.
