Awarded as “Poet of the Year” and “Writer of the Year” – Rossiyskaya Gazeta
The Grand Prix winner of the “Poet of the Year” award was the Soviet and Russian poet, author of poems for songs for theater and cinema, Yuri Ryashentsev. It was he who wrote the famous songs “It’s time to rejoice in our life”, “Keep your nose up, midshipmen” and many others.
Vladislav Otroshenko, author of the books Sukhovo-Kobylin.A novel-investigation of the fate and criminal case of a Russian playwright, Gogoliana and other stories, as well as the best-seller of 2022, the book Outskirts of Babylon, was recognized as the Writer of the year.
Poetess Polina Orynyanskaya from the Moscow region became the winner of the 1st Prize “Poet of the Year”, the 1st Prize “Writer of the Year” went to the prose writer from Rostov-on-Don Lyudmila Lavrova.
Evgeny Koroletsky and Evgeny Belkin from Moscow received the award in the Debut nomination, Elena Khanova from Vladivostok in the Literature nomination, and Galina Kharlamova from the Tula region in the Children’s Literature nomination. Mila Isaeva from St. Petersburg won in the Songs nomination, Boris Shvets from Moscow won in the True Stories nomination, Vladimir Shalimov from Volgodonsk won in the Humor nomination, Elena Putilina from Dolgoprudny won in the Fantasy nomination.
The competition for the prize was held throughout 2022: the works of authors who publish their works on the Internet and live in all regions of Russia, as well as in neighboring countries, were considered. During this time, the works of several thousand authors were evaluated. 150 poets and 100 prose writers became finalists for the awards.
The awards were established by the Russian Union of Writers to find talented new authors who can contribute to modern Russian literature.
